ISO’s 2011 Article Writing Contest on ISO 26000
(ASQ is posting these papers with kind permission from the International Organization for Standardization, ISO Central Secretariat)
“Because social responsibility concerns us all, we challenged our fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter to write an article about what social responsibility meant to them and how ISO 26000 could help.
From Madagascar to the Philippines, from Armenia to Indonesia, the wealth of entries received was outstanding, as were the quality and originality of many of them. In addition to the winner, who impressed us with his thought-provoking views on the challenges Africa faces in implementing social responsibility, we have included in this dossier a number of participating articles.
The selection made here attempts to show some of the diversity of the entries received: from storytelling approaches to philosophical analysis, from experts to non-experts alike, from countries far and wide. Read below to learn more about what the world has to say about ISO 26000 and social responsibility.”
And the Winner is: Sowing a responsible future – the African challenge by José Rakotomanjaka
