We were looking for an external credentialing process that made good service sense. Our business is supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families and we are driven to do better and better work toward useful and valued outcomes. We had done the consultant and management-du-jour jouney through the years and had a good, but fragmented framework for a quality system. ISO brought jointed and disparate parts together for us. With our management system its no longer “gotcha” with our many government auditors and it has resulted in many situations of gratitude from our clients and deep feelings of accomplishment. We know where and how we are better and discuss this with funders and granters. With the economy and goverment cuts, we are 20% leaner than 3 years ago, and we have managed it without losing market share or experiencing quality losses. We are actually looking forward to serving people better as we proceed on our journey.
